Book launch:
Finland's Famous Education System – Unvarnished
Insights into Finnish Schooling
A new open access book provides academic insights and serves as a platform for research-informed discussion about education in Finland. Bringing together the work of more than 50 authors across 28 chapters, it presents a major collection of critical views of the Finnish education system and topics that cohere around social justice concerns. It questions rhetoric, myths, and commonly held assumptions surrounding Finnish schooling.
Authors present main findings of the book on Thursday 13 April at 12.30–14.00 (Finnish time, UTC+3). You can participate on-site or on-line. On-site participation is possible at the University of Turku (Educarium, 4th floor, room 441, Assistentinkatu 5), at Tampere University (Edu's Café, 3rd floor, Åkerlundinkatu 5) or at the University of Helsinki (Siltavuorenpenger 5A, Minerva K108). For on-line participation send a message to cele@utu.fi to obtain a participation link. The event is in English.
